What We Do
Hey everyone! My name is Kasie Jackson and I am an intern for Colorful Hearts of Autism Foundation. Our goal is to be a resource to the community by guiding parents through the process of aligning services for their children as well as providing a family oriented community. We also align already diagnosed children with any additional needs that they could have outside of therapeutic services whether it is social events or emotional support. Colorful Hearts Autism Foundation is a nonprofit organization that assists families with newly diagnosed children with autism through the process of aligning therapeutic services, emotional support, financial assistance and physical needs. We are an upcoming nonprofit based in Charlotte, NC. Message from the Founder: Colorful Hearts was created from the story of our daughter Kamryn. Kamryn was 15 months old and had about 10-15 words. She was progressing wonderfully and then in March of 2020; she just woke up as a different child. She was no longer the talkative, bossy, sociable toddler that we once had. She became non verbal, she didn’t give eye contact, and she just seemed to always be in her own world. On January 11, 2021 our baby girl was officially diagnosed with Moderate Autism Spectrum Disorder. From that day on, I felt if I could support families through the initial steps of the diagnosis and align support services that are needed then that’s what I was going to do.
